My music magazine mission statement

Mission statement music magazine
“Amped up” is a brand new patriotic music magazine celebrating British music, bands and culture for the rockers, punks and real music fans of today’s generation. Reviving the love for great British rock, this loud new magazine will go on sale on a monthly basis, providing its readers with the latest news in the music world not only in magazine but in digital form as well, so readers can read without even visiting a shop.
Due to its in-depth knowledge, sheer amount of content between its covers and the fact it includes great “freebies” including such things as vouchers to the latest music events, demo cd’s featuring a variety of new upcoming bands and free music editing/ recording software, it will cost more than the average magazine costing £3.99 or £40 for a 12 month subscription. But still great value for what the reader gets, it will be distributed in all major super market and the majority of smaller shops, plus digital copies available the day after release available on smart phones, iPod/iPad and online.

“Amped up” will have tips on how to get the best sound from instruments, to the best events to attend, the latest new within the music empire in Britain and band news; it will have advice on what bands to look out for and dates to mark on their calendars.
The magazine will consist of the latest interviews with new and upcoming unknown bands, interviews with the greatest bands in British rock, punk and indie. It will include reviews of latest music events, concerts and gigs, including tell the reader about the best upcoming events that are a must go, featuring the best in-depth articles on the most important things in life, getting the best sound from your instruments, the music that will rock your world, the bests bands opinions and news and the stuff the reader has to know. With 3 competitions that the reader can enter every issue that lead to great prizes for those lucky few who win, the readers is defiantly going to want their chance to win and also finally every magazine will have a double side spread dedicated to the little bands that may just need a break to be the next best thing.

Every issue promises to excite, intrigue and captivate the audience, taking care of all their musical needs and giving them all the information they need / want and lots more, paying respect to all things British and musical, every issue will strengthen the readers patriotism, love for punk, rock and indie as well as providing them with news the need to hear and the events they should be attending while entertaining and giving them the inspiration to do more with their musical talent.

“Amped up” with is slogan “sod calm and rock” being a twist of the unofficial “British motto” of “keep calm and carry on” shows allot about the magazine, showing how patriotic and dedicated to rock, punk and indie. Amped up in its self taken from the a mix of being ramped up, the amp and turning the volume far louder then we should, shows the magazine is going to embraces the rebellious and adventurous musician of our generation, not give in to peer pressure, go against the grain and not care whatever people may think and want us to do.

The type of people to read this magazine are the rebels of modern society, those who don’t belong or follow the conventions of modern society, those who think for themselves, go the places and do the things they want to do, the sort of people the play an instrument, in a band or just love Britain, British music and the whole rock, punk and indie genre. For strong headed people who love to socialise with people like themselves and love to attend the biggest events, for those who take life to the full turning the volume levels further then the max and keeping it there, not getting tired easily and not letting anything the their way.

In short “Amped up” is a loud, gritty, brutish, in your face magazine to commemorate everything great about British rock, punk and indie putting a slight twist on the great British music magazines the likes of “Mojo” and “Q” and this is all reflected by the style of the magazine, which will look gritty, rough and very British!
